Come to Jesus

Have you ever felt an urgency in your heart? Maybe trying to get that perfect gift at the last minute or get to a family member who has been in an accident. You know that sinking feeling that speeds up your heart rate and makes you nauseous.
When I think of those that I know that are not christians or those that Have strayed away from His word, I have that sick feeling.
I pray that the Lord will begin a work in us all to share our faith more and continue to give us that heart sick feeling to lead others to Christ.

Below is an example to go by if you feel the call of Jesus.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God
Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 but Godmcommendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10 that if you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 for whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Syble Schitoskey: Death or Life Romans 6:23

Syble Schitoskey: Death or Life Romans 6:23: Romans 6:23 the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The wages if of sin is death. A death...

Death or Life Romans 6:23

Romans 6:23 the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The wages if of sin is death.
A death deep in darkness with a soul of despair.
There is no return from this death; it builds a home within you, Carrying a knife and sword, Death plunges into the skin with pain that is endless.
So much pain; it goes on and on....
The wages of sin is death.

The gift of life is endless.
Our Savior, Jesus Christ, lights the mansion with His presence, no more is needed.
He has prepared a place for us; there are many rooms.
No pain is there and freedom is no longer a dream.
It is free!
Only He could pay the price; and he did, when He cried "Father, why have you forsaken me."
At that moment His thoughts were of you.
Now He lays His Gift at your feet.
It is free!

Accept the gift, by asking Jesus in your heart and to forgive you of your sins.
You know longer have to live in the darkness.
Come live with Him, for he has many rooms.
Shalom- peace

Acts 1:8 A conversation

Conversation: self and Jesus
I'm tired- self
But you will receive power- Jesus
I'm too busy- self
When the the Holy Spirit comes on you-Jesus
No one will listen to me-self
And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and to the ends of the earth-Jesus

Then the men in white said, "why do you stand looking at the sky?"...acts 1:11

Why do we wait or hold back from sharing the gospel? Where is your Jerusalem? It family, friends, or the end of the earth.

Stop looking in the sky. Trust His word and Believe you have the power of the Holy Spirit.

Determination

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.

Ruth had the freedom to go back to her family. Naiomi relieved her and blessed her. But Ruth had a determination that she would stay with her mother-in-law.   It was so deep of determination that I believe even if Naiomi would have made her stay, that she would have probably followed behind in the dust.

Where is our determination today?  Can we say that we are so determine to stay with God that we would follow behind in the dust?   Even when our hearts are hurting, or we feel like we are in a bottomless pit, how strong is our determination?

Go two miles with Jesus

Matthew 5:41
If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.

This Sunday, our memory verse was Matthew 5:41.   Bro. Kurt Pace, preached on this very scripture and the Holy Spirit has been beating me over the head with it ever since.

I'm confessing there are some sermons that I usually have forgotten by the time the car hits the driveway of the church. Oh, but not this Sunday.

There is so many times that when I am asked to do something, I do the very least I can do to get by.  But, man, after Bro. Kurt's message, I've been looking at things so different.   Jesus said go two miles. Another way I think of it is do more than you are asked.

Our preacher gave so many examples that stuck in my head but what intrigued me most was the history behind the scripture.  The Roman soilders had a right to order anyone to carry their bags for them a mile. After the mile, they were relieved of this duty.  Whew!   Can you imagine carrying the heavy equipment of a soilder? I probably couldn't even pick it  up, much less carry it a mile.

But then, Jesus said carry it two miles. There are so many things that I have to do daily that I don't want to do. I do bare minimal.   Mainly because I can get by with it. But now that I know that it pleases God to better, I want to.  That doesn't mean that I won't fail. I already have this morning.  But with God's mercy and grace, I want to strive to please him to do the best no matter what it is; even, cleaning the bathroom.   I hope the Spirit leads you today.

New International Version (©1984)
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Be Glad In Trials

We have heard in sermons, through teachings, and by friends, to count it all joy during our trials.   It's even in black and white written in the Lord's word....  count it all joy during trials and tribulation.   So, after the preaching and teaching, where do we stand when we face trials?

Even though we look a major events as "the trials", we face a daily trial when living as a christian. Any problem, situation, treatment or just getting out of bed can be considered the start of a trial.   How we act or respond to a situation, big or small, is our trial.  The Lord warned us...   " count it all joy when we face trials...."  It only brings me to believe that trials are meant to be.

So how do we count it JOY?  Only through the blood of Jesus!   He is our Peace and Comfort during the craziness.

Without Jesus, the trials of life will never have peace or joy. If you are not a Christian, I encourage you to go to the Lord in pray and except him into your heart. Find the peace and joy through His grace.

Renewing Blog

Recently, I have been thinking of renewing my blogg. The main idea of the site will remain the same, with prayers, devotions, and uplifting articles. However, to put a little youth and fun to the site, I'm looking at adding a Kid's Corner. This area will offer to children a chance to show their creativity in writing. My niece has already volunteered to enter some fun articles. Hopefully, I will quickly learn to add pictures and make the site more exciting looking.

This blog is to encourage readers through scriptures, prayers, and articles.
